From April 13 to 18, 2026, the highly anticipated Sixth China International Consumer Goods Expo was grandly held at the Haikou International Convention and Exhibition Center. As the first large-scale national-level expo following the launch of closed-loop operations in the Hainan Free Trade Port, this edition of the Consumer Expo drew brands and buyers from over 60 countries and regions worldwide to Haikou, jointly exploring new opportunities in the consumer market. Jilin Guigu Food Co., Ltd., as a representative of Jilin’s signature food products, showcased its core offerings—including organic perilla seed oil and Wuhui Zizifen powder—at the prime spot in Hall 6T14, within the Jilin Pavilion. With its high-quality products and distinct Northeastern characteristics, the company became a standout highlight of the event.
As a local enterprise deeply rooted in the functional food sector of Northeast China, Guigu Food has brought its star products to the China International Consumer Goods Expo, aiming to leverage this national and international platform for consumer showcases to present high-quality agricultural products from Jilin’s fertile black soil to buyers worldwide. At the Jilin Pavilion, organic perilla seed oil, Five-Black Zizzi Powder, and other products were neatly displayed, drawing numerous domestic and international buyers, industry partners, and end consumers who stopped by to inquire. On-site staff introduced the products’ raw material advantages, production processes, and nutritional characteristics through product presentations and tasting experiences. Guigu’s organic perilla seed oil is produced using a low‑temperature cold‑pressing method, rich in alpha‑linolenic acid and preserving natural nutritional activity; while Five-Black Zizzi Powder is made from black ingredients that are both medicinal and edible, emphasizing health and nutrition. Both products received widespread acclaim from attendees, with many consumers trying them out and making purchases on the spot. The exhibition area was bustling with visitors, creating an exceptionally lively atmosphere.
During the exhibition, Qiu Chengchao, head of Guigu Food’s International Trade Department, held in-depth discussions with buyers from numerous countries and regions worldwide, exchanging views on product export standards, market demand, and cooperation models. Thanks to its superior product quality and strong corporate capabilities, Guigu Food reached preliminary cooperation agreements with multiple domestic and international partners, laying a solid foundation for further expanding into international markets. Qiu Chengchao stated: “Since the Hainan Free Trade Port began closed-loop operations, the advantages of streamlined cross-border trade have become increasingly evident. The China International Consumer Goods Expo has built an important bridge for companies like ours to connect with global markets. This participation not only allowed us to gain a close understanding of international market needs but also introduced high-quality functional foods from Jilin to a wider overseas audience, yielding results that far exceeded our expectations.”
As a Northeast China–style food enterprise, Guigu Food has consistently adhered to the philosophy of “building the brand on quality and expanding the market through innovation.” Leveraging the region’s high-quality local raw material resources in Meihekou, Jilin, the company has focused on the R&D of functional oils and health foods. This appearance at the China International Consumer Goods Expo marks an important step in the company’s journey toward the international market. Looking ahead, Guigu Food will take this expo as an opportunity to continuously optimize its product portfolio, enhance its global market competitiveness, and, by capitalizing on the policy benefits of the Hainan Free Trade Port and the platform advantages of the Consumer Expo, help more high‑quality, Northeast‑style food products go abroad, reach broader global markets, and contribute to the internationalization of Jilin’s specialty agricultural products.
